Quieting a page?

So far, I like the protection and control that NoScript offers.

On some pages that try to load scripts and are stopped, small circles
go round and round, waiting for their scripts to load in vain.

These small circles are a visual distraction and make reading the page
a difficult experience.

Is there a setting in NoScript that can _completely quieten scripts that attempt
to run?

TIA

Depends what the circles are. If they're animated GIFs, you could disable images, perhaps using ABE:

Code: Select all

Site ^.*\.gif$
Deny
Or just via Fx preferences.

Could you please provide some URLs where this occurs?

Note: Thrawn's rule would disable *all* gifs, even the ones you want to see.
