flash reported installed with flash blocked

hi!

i've recently found out something that's probably totally obvious to you guys, i.e. that javascript checks for the existance and the "enabledness" (??) of flash pass even when flash is disabled via noscript.

i know there must be some good technical/philosophical/moral reason for that, so could you explain it to me?

oh, and sorry if this has already been asked before, but i tried searching for 'flash installed version' and the last 2 terms just got ignored. loosen the filters a little bit maybe? :)

It's not a bug, it's a feature!
Click-to-play for videos on sites like Youtube wouldn't be possible otherwise.
