Flashgot/get/greasemonkey Fx2, google books...

Post by elf.elf.baby »

Using this link 5 Tools to Download ...
http://www.aboutonlinetips.com/google-books-downloader/
I downloaded and installed the Greasemonkey method of downloading books from google books.
I use Firefox 2.0.20, and XP MCE. I chose a small book, and was able to create, seemingly, one PNG image per page.
Right clicking on the first resultant png link, I had an option to "FLASHGOT ALL" and did so.
What seemed like a torrent began, and when it completed, my specified target location had 82 files, presumably one per page. They are named books(1) etc. They are file type FILE. There is also a book.huhiho (MS Dos App) in the target directory. And an 'advanced_book_search' FILE.

SO. What does one do now? They don't seem to open, and the 5 Tools people, referenced in the above link, indicated a PDF would be the result. The book.huhiho.com site mentions FlashGET, which, when downloaded (3 different versions, no less) does nothing when clicked to install.

Obviously, there are some other next steps. Does anyone know what they are? The greasemonkey script for downloading google books has no information that I can see as relevant.

Also, is a "Gallery" related to this? I have a Build Gallery link when I right click, but I have no idea what it's for.

I just must have missed the instruction sheet... :)
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The files are .png files, you probably don't have a png reader on your computer.
Try to open the files with your web browser, it should work.
