In recent nightlies of Firefox 4 (maybe even back before the original beta 5? I haven't checked for the regression range), NoScript's statusbar menu popup appears with just a mouseover event, not requiring a click to show.
It was happening before I updated NoScript to 2.0.3.1rc2, and it still happens after I updated.

Re: NoScript issue with statusbar icon.
It's a feature, disable by going to Options > Appearance > Open permissions... (checkbox at the bottom). If you click on the statusbar icon without changing the setting it behaves like it used to anyway.

Wow, that seems like a really bad thing to change the default to.
Thanks, though.

Re: NoScript issue with statusbar icon.
Because it was requested by users, sounded like a good idea, doesn't disable the old behavior and can be easily disabled.tHr4sh3R wrote:qft, really annoying, i wonder why this "feature" even was included D:KWierso wrote:Wow, that seems like a really bad thing to change the default to.
Could you elaborate more on why it's so annoying?

Re: NoScript issue with statusbar icon.
About the only time I have found it (barely) annoying is when I was needing to capture a screenshot of a webpage & one of the criteria was to click the (webpage) down scrollbar arrow. Conceivable that the NoScript menu could open when you were trying to hit that spot.
(Though on FF, for me at least, the NoScript icon tends to come before the FlashGot icon. In SeaMonkey <thankfully> the NoScript icon has always been the right-most.)
