NoScript kills Java plugins on Firefox 4.0 b5

Activating NoScript (even with allow Scripts globally) kills Java applets on Firefox 4.5 beta 5 on OS X 10.6.4. Going to a page such as http://whisper.cs.utk.edu:8234/ just displays a coffee cup instead of the applet.
There are no messages in the Java console either. I tried it on several Macs.

Please fix this or tell me how to set NoScript to allow Java to work.

NoScript is the reason I use Firefox, so this is an important issue to me.

Thanks,
Jim

Just a data point, since I don't have a Mac, but the app works for me on Windows XP.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b5) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b5
NoScript 2.0.3rc3, default settings except scripts globally allowed.
No other extensions or themes.

Haven't encountered the Java plugin issue, but on an equivalent system NoScript is crashing the flash plugin when I temporarily allow certain objects.
