NoScript 2.0.2.5 update - firefox now crashes on startup

Hi,
I just updated NoScript to 2.0.2.5 on my Firefox browser (3.6.8) and it now crashes on startup.
To confirm that it was the NoScript update, I rolled back my %APPDATA%/Local/Mozilla and %APPDATA%/Roaming/Mozilla
directories to a backup I had from yesterday, and Firefox loads fine. I then update NoScript again and back to crashing on startup.
Also when Firefox crashes, it does not dump a crash log, so it is not being picked up by Crash Reporter. Strange!
Anyone else seeing this problem?

Nobody else so far reported this issue.
Maybe an extensions conflict? Could you try
Standard Diagnostic?

Unfortunately Firefox would not even load in safe mode after the NoScript update.
Any suggestions on how to approach the problem in light of this information?

If Firefox doesn't load even in safe mode, this usually mean either that Firefox itself got corrupted (very unlikely during an extension update, since only the
profile is touched) or that there's another Firefox instance running and hidden.
Could you try to check if a firefox.exe is shown by your Task Manager and kill it (or restart your PC) before retrying?

Yes I did check for running firefox processes and did a reboot during my testing, to no avail.
I don't think it has corrupted firefox itself as reinstalling appdata files fixes it every time - I never restored the firefox folder in "Program Files (x86)".
I've also scanned the firefox logs for any errors and there is nothing.
It is strange I admit. These are the other extensions I have installed:
I think as a last resort I might have to start with a clean firefox with no extensions except for NoScript, then add them one by one and see which one is causing the conflict.

Same issue when I visit a page featuring Adobe Flash, Java or Javascript with mention version of Firefox and it's up coming successor Firefox 4 currently @ beta 4. Browser windows just restarts in Windows 7 Basic mode (no Aero) .

First of all, beta 5 is the latest. And second of all, this sounds more like a problem with the hardware acceleration feature (Direct2D), try toggling it off in the settings.

Java was causing the crashing issue and needs to be updatedand the crashing issue is resolved.
