Inconsistant actions and system freeze with Getright

I have been using GetRight for a long time and I really like it. But I moved to Win7 64 and it simply does not work properly from FlashGet.

It works perfectly if you drag the URL you want to download to the GetRight drag and drop spot. If you just allow GR to catch the download, the results are intermittent. Frequently culminating in freezing the system and requiring a reboot when you sometime can't even close the GR task/window. It also fills monitor with many many copies of the GetRight logo. This screen says hit back in the browser to clear the screen after download but it frequently does not work. GetRight support is non-responsive and the forum not better. It appears from reading the forum that the author has moved on to more lucrative pursuits.

Do you guys have any idea how to resolve this? I would really like to continue to use Getright, but always knowing if my click will be on an actual download or another page getting me to the download is a real pain in the butt.
