RC4 and RC5 are causing weird Facebook behavior

Ever since the RC4 was installed on my machine and has continued through RC5, Any time you access Facebook, it triggers the site to go to the mobile version instead. Now I know for a fact that this desktop is not a mobile device or browser, and the fact that this machine has been used successfully to access Facebook for over a year without any issues, so this was very bizarre behavior.
So I did my usual sleuthing and found that when you disable NoScript, it works fine, but when NoScript is in effect, it creates this behavior. So I am not sure what's going on but can someone let me know if they are experiencing this as well and also Giorgio any idea what's going on? When RC4 first came out, when you signed into Facebook and then clicked on any bookmark or link on the profile or homepage, it would take you to the login page repeatedly until NoScript was disabled. In RC5 THAT particular issue is not happening anymore but this particular behavior has now become from an occasional thing to a constant thing, any idea what happened?

I've got no problem with Facebook &
latest development build
If your problem persists, could you try clearing your cookies?

Giorgio, thank you for the quick reply my friend.
1) I did install the latest dev as soon as I was done posting the question,
2) I run in private mode and my browser deletes all cache, cookies, LSO when I close my browser (so I start fresh each time),
3) Even with the latest version when I click on the "HOME" link on the top which shows as (
http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home) on mouseover, when clicked will take me to (
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?#&refid=#) where the # reflects numbers that have been removed for privacy,
4) To make things even more bizarre, if I manually type in the URL bar the direct address of (apps.facebook.com/<whatever>/) it goes there just fine and is the regular version and NOT the mobile version,
5) To make it even more bizarre, if you click on the "ACCOUNT" drop down menu and pick ANYTHING, it goes to it just fine and looks normal and NOT the mobile version,
So my confusion is, A) why does it take that link and force into mobile, B) why is it solved when I disable NS, and C) why would it suddenly begin happening when nothing has changed for almost 2 months EXCEPT NS on this profile? I am just looking for help trying to understand this, not trying to imply its NS's fault or that you did something wrong, I am simply saying that although normally I wouldn't draw a cause/effect link between something like this, it seems to resolve with NS disabled, so that makes it pretty damning as the culprit. I am open to suggestions and alternative theories of what's going on, perhaps NS is an innocent bystander or something, not sure.

What is your UA? Is it as shown, "Mozilla/Gecko" ?
If so, try setting it to something a bit more normal (though even normal is being changed as we speak).
See if changing your UA makes a difference.

Close, its actually Mozilla/Gecko/Firefox but yes and even with the full built-in default UA it does the same thing. Plus, if that was the issue, it wouldn't be solved with NS being disabled. That would imply the problem was generated by the Facebook site via some faulty browser sniff. In a profile with no NS and the same UA, it works fine, so that would eliminate Facebook (as much as I would love to lay the blame on them). No?

Spoofing my UA as yours & can't get FB to break.
Disable all addons except for NoScript & see if it is still broken for you.
(Or create a new Profile & only add NoScript.)

Maybe I wasn't being clear. I did test with nothing except NoScript, I have a profile that is specifically for testing NoScript and has only NS installed. Disabling NS made it work but otherwise it stayed broken. As you have experienced yourself, having that particular UA does NO break the site, so eliminates them as the culprit. I am not sure what's causing the problem to be honest, just know that it started with RC4 where you couldn't even stay logged in more than half the time and then when RC5 came out the login issue disappeared but then it started constantly doing this particularly bizarre problem. Unfortunately unless someone else or Giorgio can reproduce this problem as I am having, there is probably going to be no activity to resolve it. As long as Giorgio remembers that I told him about this problem long before the masses started complaining about it, we are fine but often its seen as a new issue and forgotten that it was a problem before as well.

Don't worry, I'll keep bumping this thread so it doesn't fall under the radar

.
(Also note that I just about never visit Facebook.)
