PDF won't display after update to 2.0.1

Post by jrf2027 »

Hello,

I recently updated by NoScript to 2.0.1 from 1.10. I now have a problem with viewing PDF files in Firefox. I'm using Acrobat Professional 8.2.3.

The two web sites I've definitely noticed this problem on are wellsfargo.com and sprint.com. Both sites are allowed, and I've had no problems viewing PDFs in the past. However, after the update to 2.0.1, when I click on the "view statement" link on both sites with NoScript enabled, I do not get the PDF - I only get a blank page. The PDF in-browser toolbar does not appear either, although in both cases the title bar shows that the document is an "application/pdf Object".

I know the problem is in NoScript 2.0.1, because I have an OS image with 1.10 on it; out of curiosity I reloaded it, and these pages work fine. They also work fine when NoScript is set to "allow scripts globally". They do NOT work if I manually temporarily allow each site, however.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm just a little frustrated at this point, but I would hate to disable NoScript every time I need to download a bank statement.

Could you downgrade, better if progressively, from http://noscript.net/feed?t=a and tell me which version exactly broke this functionality?
Also, do you get any apparently NoScript-related message in Tools|Error Console when this happens?
Thanks.

In addition to Acrobat Professional, do you also have Acrobat Reader installed?
(Known issues, which I don't recall offhand ;-), have occurred between the two.)
