NS 2.0 RC9? (+ can't remove)

don't know what's going on. I'm being updated from 2.0RC3 to RC9. No way to get the 2.0 final. But there's worse, I tried to remove this RC9 and I can't. If I check for updates in Firefox (4.0b2) extension manager, I'm prompted to update NS, restart, and it's still RC9. I would be prompted again to update if I checked again. Also, as said, it's impossible to remove it. If I try to, after a restart there's a message telling me that's I got to restart again to remove it (although NS isn't active anymore). If I click on restart, it still won't be removed, and if I click on undo, it just will be active again as expected. Stuck with this RC9 it seems...what's up? thanks.

First, 2.0rc9 is identical to 2.0 final. Latest RC is always released as identical to final in order to properly update users of the beta channel, who get separated updates from AMO.
Second, the "can't install" issue is probably a Firefox bug or a corrupted extension manager.
I'm not sure whether the extension manager backend still works according to
this article, but it may be worth a try.

okay, thought I was on a separate channel (RC), got confused when I saw I couldn't remove it, but okay that's not linked. I will try the solution on the page you linked to, thanks

doesn't work, I found only an "extension.ini" file in my profile, no .rdf and no .cache.
Anyway, the error was logged:
I'm just gonna try a manual removal of the extension.
edit: okay just checked I get the same issue with all extensions. Might be because I used 4.0b3pre a few days, and it broke something. Will just re-create a profile.
