1. I've been using this software for a couple years now. The only time I get the type of error/stop that leads to the ABE tab, is on pages that are actually already in the whitelist section. This results in me having to shut down my Firefox browser for no reason other than clear this. It's even happened with the browser defined home page. Quite annoying
2. Today, the latest update completely screwed with my router's firewall settings. It started with the above stop message at the top of the browser window and when I attempted to restart the browser, my router was tricked into thinking there was a router connected through a router problem and the only way to resolve that problem was to add the alleged "3rd party router" to the DMZ Plus list. I'm extremely familiar with my router, how it works and how to control it. There can be only on culprit for this problem and that is the Noscript update.
I had to reset the firewall settings and rebuild the port forwarding - a complete waste of my time.
What is the point of ABE, especially if i have a router? Can i turn that quite useless part of the program off?
I'm so tired of the false stops that this software's benefits are not outweighing its cons given the somewhat less 'paranoid' alternatives there are out there.

Re: Explain ABE
ABE is especially useful if you've got a router.
This article and this forum post should help in understanding what the recent ABE changes are about and whether they can actually be the cause of your problem.
Good luck and let me know
