I receive the
Code: Select all
Download manager not properly installed. Incorrect function.
error message with the new Net Transport v2.94.555 (x64) build. The previous v2.93.550 (x86) build works without any problems.

Do Internet Explorer's contextual menu commands for Net Transport work?

When I enable "Monitor Browser Click", Net Transport catches the download windows of Internet Explorer 64-bit; however, the clicks from the 32-bit IE are missed. In addition, the Net Transport add-on is only installed for the 64-bit IE.

I'm not interested in the clicks, I'm interested in the context menu commands.

The context menus are installed only for IE 64-bit and they do seem to be working properly. However, I cannot find any sign of Net Transport on IE 32-bit.
BTW, FlashGot highlights Net Transport 2 under its options.

That's very likely the culprit. Make it appear in IE32 bit, and it will work in FlashGot as well.

Is there such a thing as a "64-bit IE"?
>> Yes.
In general, an x64 application will not see x86 context menu items & x86 applications will not see x64 context menu items.
If there is no IE64, thinking you're going to need to use the x86 version of Net Transport.
(Hadn't even realized there was a separate x64 2.94.555 version. Went looking to see why I was at
2.93.550!)
With some applications ...
You can use TortoiseSVN/TortoiseCVS/... in Altap Salamander without any problems by installing 32-bit and 64-bit versions at the same time. Altap Salamander (and other 32-bit applications) will use the 32-bit TortoiseSVN and rest of the system will use the 64-bit version. This is fully supported solution by both Microsoft and TortoiseXXX developers.

Don't know if that would apply to NT?
(What benefit is there to the x64 version <of Net Transport> over x86? Or will the x86 not work in a 64-bit OS?)
Differences between the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer that are included in the x64-based versions of Windows Server 2003 and in Windows XP Professional x64 Edition

I don't know the advantages of the x64 version over x86 but I have installed them simultaneously and FlashGot can use the x86 version without any problems.
