Better notification of ruleset errors

I've been trying to learn how to use ABE to accomplish various blocking tasks, and one of the stumbling blocks I've run into is when making mistakes in editing the ruleset. Unless you have the ABE options open, there's no notification that you've got errors in your ruleset. This would be a very handy notification, I'd think.
