Feature Request: left clicking action on statusbar button

Dear Giorgio,

first of all, thank you a lot for the excellent and popular add-on which makes websurfing safer.
If I may do a suggestion: In the General Options tab, there are default actions for left clicking on Noscript toolbar button which is a good idea. Could you please make the same available for Noscript Statusbar button, that would be great. Right now, right- and left-clicking on status bar button will bring up the same context menu.

Thanks very much and cheers.

The status bar menus for left and right click are different, actually.

IIRC, wasn't that feature available only on F3+? My F2 shows same left- and right-click menu behavior, although I see the OP has F3. Just confirming for my own knowledge base. (StickyUI is true.) Thanks.

Sticky menus are Fx >=3 only.

Please take a look at the screenshot below.
What I actually meant is: If the options in the screenshot is set, you just need to do one left click to allow base 2nd level domain. But only if the button is in the toolbar. If you decide to move the button to the statusbar, this doesnot work anymore.
Cheers

I actually eluded to this a while back in a different post that when this option is selected, left-clicking doesn't give the sticky menu on alot of occasions, instead it allows without prompt while if you have this option unchecked and then left click the icon in the statusbar, it will give you a sticky menu which allows you to make all your choices in one shot. I personally have this option unchecked to prevent any accidental allowing.

only if the button is in the toolbar. If you decide to move the button to the statusbar
How do you get the button on the toolbar (is that the Personal Toolbar?) rather then on statusbar?

I have it in both places, the upper one being the navigation (address) toolbar. Just drag'n'drop like any other Fx toolbar option.

I have a cool screenshot 8-) , but don't know of a quick/easy place to upload it and link. Suggestions? Or could we (mods) get upload/attachment permission?

@noscript_user:
I understood what you asked in your first question.
The meaning of my answer was that we already have two different behaviors for left and right click on the status bar (i.e. "sticky" and "traditional" menu), therefore at this time of the game giving it further semantic would be rather impractical.
On the other hand, you can use the CTRL + SHIFT + \ shortcut to toggle permissions just like with the toolbar button.

@therube:
No toolbar button for Seamonkey 1.x, I'm afraid.

Agreed, all that can be done within reason have already been done, so you may need to rely a bit more on keyboard shortcuts if what is already available is not enough. On a separate note, other than being an all in one solution, what are other advantages of SeaMonkey if anything?

To each his own.
I simply prefer it over FF.
I use browser & chat. No mail nor news.
It is a bit more (Preference item UI) configurable IMO. Things like FAYT work the UNIX way, rather then having a dumb dialog box display. Just quirks that suit me better. It's more like Netscape Navigator.

@therube, thank you for provided that information and the added user perspective. I have been toying with trying it out but I just don't see it fitting my usage patterns but I am trying to get a better grip on it for the sake of maybe recommending it to users who want the solution but don't have a particular preference. Thanks again for the input, appreciate it.
