Odd Flashgot behaviour since latest update

Post by andrez001 »

Since the last update of Flashgot I have not been able use the program the same way since 1.2.1.15. I have rolled back the version to one that worked then back to the latest release because nothing worked.

The odd behaviour is now in 1.2.1.17 I can select flashgot selection and flashget will come to the foreground but doenst register the links. Reading the log below says lots of errors and cannot find my default download manager which is Flashget.

Any assitance would be great. This is a great plugin and would not like to start using something different becuase both pieces of s/ware have been working in conjunction for sometime since the latest release of flashgot 2 weeks ago. It just stopped working. Checked through the supprt forum and tried a few suggestions but they dont work. Hoping the experts can help.

Which download manager are you using? (FlashGet, I suppose, but which version?)
Does it work from IE?
Could you try to reinstall it?

Which download manager are you using?

FlashGet V1.73 Classic version

Does it work from IE?

No flashget doesnt work with IE only have download all with flashget in context menu for IE and doesnt seem to register the collection of links and bring up in Flashget.

Could you try to reinstall it?

I have tried reinstalling the classic version and also the latest version 3.3 with no change in behaviour i ve mentioned above. Tried using Wellget, IDM and JDownloader with the same problem occurring.

Please try to install it using Administrator rights and double-checking that IE integration is enabled.

Reinstall Flashget or Flashgot? Where is this IE integration choice to enable? The browser I'm using is Firefox/3.6.

Flashget.

Pay attention to any IE-related item during installation and check FlashGet's "integration" and "monitoring" options.

Of course, I know. FlashGot needs FlashGet's IE integration component nonetheless.

Funnily enough that was the fourth time I have reinstalled flashget but this time using version 1.9.6 and seems to be working again. YAY!

When installing flashget I didnt come across the choice to enable IE integration so presume its slimstreamed in the install maybe!?

Though still not %100, the links once in flashget are no in order which is a pain... Graci!
