problem with devart

Ok, I just started having problems with deviant art and posting my journal. This didn't happen at work, nor a few days ago, but when I tried to update my journal there, I got this message:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://noscript/content/RequestWatchdog.js:1232
I had to disable NoScript to make it work. Any suggestions? I'm running Windows 7, the latest Firefox and the latest NoScript version.

Could you please retry and check if any [NoScript...] line appears in Tools|Error Console when this happens?

There's some warnings that there's some errors with the css, but it's been doing that for a long time. Nothing new there.

There must appear a message (of the blue type) starting with "[NoScript" after you select "Stop" on the unresponsive script dialog.
Could you recheck?

Just an update, I'm at work and it works fine. I'm not aware of any differences in plug-ins in my work vs home computer. The only difference I can think of is that I'm using XP at work. But I was able to post a journal on Friday at home on the new system with no problems. I'm going to double check when I get home and see what plug-ins I have. I did check the error message log twice, and there were plenty of warnings about the css problem, but no errors. But I'll check again after work and let you know.

Edit: Just updated my work computer's Firefox to the latest version, still able to post to my da journal.

Ok, installed the same plugins at work as I have at home. Updated everything, including Firefox, so they're both using the same versions. As of now, the only difference that I can think of is that home is Windows 7 and work is XP. When I try to post to my da journal from home, this is what I get:

Error console:

Ok, apparently it doesn't keep messages. I opened it and it was empty, so I tried to post, and it gave me this:

OK, there's a work around: you can add the following line in your NoScript Options|Advanced|XSS exceptions box

Code: Select all

But before you do it, I'd like to better understand what's going on:
  1. How do your dom.max_script_run_time and dom.max_chrome_script_run_time about:config preference look like? If either is listed in bold, could you reset it?
  2. Does a different message appear if you choose to let the script keep running?

1. dom.max_script_run_time is set to default integer 10 and dom.max_chrome_script_run_time is default integer 20.

2. It just keeps trying and giving me the same message until I tell it to stop.

Does it happen no matter which content you're trying to upload to the journal, or is it content specific?
If it is, could you please give me exact step-by-step details of how to reproduce?

Anytime I try to post in the journal from home. Doesn't matter what text I'm putting it, it does the same thing.

Do you mean you get this problem even if you put just "test" as the subject and the content?
What do the other options (mood, skin) look like?
(I registered a free account and tried to post something to my journal, and it's working fine)

Yeah, even with just basic test text.

But, I just tried it with the basic skin and it works. I didn't even think about that, since it works from work as well. I'm not sure why posting with my custom skin works at work but not at home, but it does. The really weird part is that if I post with the basic skin, I can edit it after posting, choose my skin and it works. I'm not sure what the difference is, I just can't post anything to my journal initally with my skin. That's just bizarre. ><
