Downloads..

Currently, I'm borrowing my friends laptop, as he's gone overseas, and he's asked me to download a few videos from youtube, as well as some videos from sites such as redtube, pornhub, and videos that are on random websites that are hosted through Megavideo etc.

Problem is, I don't really know anything about the program he's got. He told me he bookmarked the page he downloaded Flashgot from and I saw the FAQ page and the forum page. Problem is, I don't know much about computers, and my friend isn't able to get anywhere near a computer or phone for a while (he's currently travelling in India) & all he's asked is for me to download a couple of videos for him for when he gets back.

For youtube videos, it seems theres no problem (only problem being my crappy internet connection) but for other sites; I go into the 'tools' menu here in Firefox (I have the latest version) to Flashgot, then click on the 'FlashGot Media' thing, and the download automatically starts, but it doesn't start or anything.

I'm currently in the process of taking the advised step of downloading 'downloadstudio' or whatever it was called, but as thats going to take a while, I wanted to see if I could get any other solutions?

If you're using the built-in Firefox download manager with FlashGot media, the download will start as soon as the movie finishes playing or you close its tab.
