Conflict with Google Reader

An entry in the RSS feed for a blog I follow had an embedded video served by Viddler.com, an outfit I had not whitelisted. So I click to temporarily allow Viddler. Well, NoScript then refreshes the Reader page. The way this interacts with Google Reader is that the already-opened articles in the list are discarded and only unread articles are reloaded. In particular, the article with the video I wanted to watch has been removed! I had to click "All Items" to get it back and watch the video (which then did work). This behaviour is not so bad for the articles that had truly already been read. However, the one that was currently open at the time need not be completely read yet; so it is unfortunate that it should be lost as a result of an effort to fully read it. I wonder if there might be a way to automatically cancel the "already read" flag associated with the currently open article so that it will come back when the page is refreshed.
