Istalled, but doesn't do anything

Installed into firefox 3.6. There are no icons and no options show under toolbar customize. The extension shows installed. If I click on options under the extensions section, it locks up and won't close. I have deleted the extensions.ini, .rdf, and .cache also. I receive no errors of any kind.

That looks like an Add-Ons Manager corruption.

Could you try to follow the steps outlined in this article?

Also, if you've got Firefox extensions called " HP Smart Web Printing", "Skype", ".NET Framework Assistant" or "McAfee Site Advisor" please uninstall them: they're buggy and known to cause this problem.

As stated originally, I removed those files per the faq. Still does not work.

This sounds like there may be something wrong with the NoScript installation files. Uninstall NoScript, restart, verify it's not listed in Add-ons > Extensions, and reinstall NoScript from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 or http://noscript.net/getit.

Yeap, I've done that a dozen times and still nothing. It shows installed, but nothing in customize toolbar. Clicking on options under the extension still locks up the dialog box. I'm also using vista.

Do you have any of these?

Which usually means that something's gone wrong with the installation or there's something screwed up in your profile. Create a new profile and install NoScript in it. Don't change NoScript's settings or install any theme or other extensions yet. Does it work properly now? If you like, we can help you get old settings and extensions transferred to the new, working profile.
