FlashGot does not see swf, though it is easy enough to get & does actually work.
(Not all swf are singular stand-alone files.)

Code: Select all

Madeira floods kill at least 38 is using RTMP which FlashGot cannot see.

Other download managers may be able to see it.

Something like this:

Code: Select all

rtmp://206.57.29.117:80/ondemand?_fcs_vhost=cp51020.edgefcs.net<break>flv/new/cut/world-Madeira2102m_E.flv
Net Transport sees it & can download it. Orbit Downloader doesn't seem to be getting it.

Click the URL Sniffer tab.
Click Start.
Reload the page.

You should then see the rtmp: link I posted above.
Click it so it has focus, then click Download.

Yes, I saw that too, but I believe it is erroneous. Try the actual download, see if it doesn't stop after a relatively short period of time. (I did not do that, but I did look to see that the downloaded file at least started at the correct point, & played - up to the point where I stopped the download.)

Other tools to try:

Top URL Sniffer/Snooper Tools for downloading

SmartSniff (tiny & free) should work, & contrary to what the article says, it will see & can save rtmp.

URL Snooper I used long ago, & am no longer familiar with. The other two I have not used.

Yes it does stop, 2.98 MB & is the full file.

RTMP is hit or miss with download managers. They'll either see it or they won't. Sometimes you can finagle the URL a bit & get it to work where otherwise it wouldn't. Sometimes Orbit (its' Grab++ module) will see it & Net Transport won't. Sometime vice-versa. Sometimes both will see it, sometimes neither.

I don't believe either will do RTMPE (protected) streams.
