Possible Bug

Post by adam777 »

Hello,
I've been a very happy FlashGot user for quite some time, and have recently came across a situation that might demonstrate a possible bug in FlashGot.
When trying to download from the site http://www.xvidvideo.ru (a well known source for Media Player Classic Home Cinema SVN builds, for example), for some reason FlashGot is unable to handle the download properly.
Consider the following URL - http://www.xvidvideo.ru/2009-10-22-10-4 ... aller.html, after pressing the "continue" button and using FlashGot to forward the D\L to DTA (Turbo), DTA will D\L an HTML page, not the file itself.
Using DTA directly (by adding its entries into the save dialog) will download the file with no problems.
Please take a look at it, I do not have much knowledge on this subject, but I'd suspect some kind of forwarding/referer error.
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work, Adam.

Possibly similar to the Uploading.com issue?

NetTransport does not work either, instead returning an .html page.
Browser built-in does work, though the (I downloaded the .7z version) file comes down as (an incorrectly named) .html file (rather then .7z).

Simply saving the file (bypassing FlashGot) results in the expected (correctly named) mpc-homecinema.1644.7z.

PS: Should Browser built-in have opened up SeaMonkey's Download Manager? (It did not.)
