FlashGot not working with FlashGet

I use FlashGet v2.0.2.1028 as my default downloader. I have FlashGot configured to work with it but it doesn't.
Whenever I try to download a file seized by FlashGot and set it to transfer to FlashGet, FlashGet's window opens but the file is not displayed and nothing happens.
I have checked the FlashGot configuration several times but everything seems ok.

Any ideas please?

FlashGot uses the same FlashGet component IE does to integrate it. If it doesn't work in IE either, that means that FlashGet is not properly installed or that some security tool is interfering.

Should I attempt to disable or uninstall FlashGot to see if that solves the problem?

Flashget is set to monitor the clipboard which it does perfectly in IE and Firefox.

I asked you to check the contextual (right click) IE menu. Please do it.
If it doesn't work, please double check that IE integration is enabled in FlashGet options (yes, I know you use Firefox, but as I said that's needed by FlashGot).
Otherwise, please send me your FlashGot Options|Advanced|Show log output.
Reinstalling FlashGot serves no purpose at all.

By using a Gecko based browser (like Firefox) or, if you are, by not faking your user agent string which tells my web site you're using Internet Explorer 7.

I do use Firefox but you told me to use IE8 yesterday so I opened your forum with that. I have no idea how to fake user agent strings nor what they are.
In fact, I use an IE8 skin called SlimBrowser which I'm sure you have heard of. It provides me with more functionality while using the IE engine. But it is strange that it reports my browser as IE7 when you can clearly see the motor as IE8 here.

In answer to your previous questions, the right click menu works fine in IE as can be seen in this screenshot. And in this screenshot you can see my Flashget integration settings.

Your log says you've got two problems:

1. FlashGet is not being recognized automatically by FlashGot, as it should. This is usually due to the IE integration component being not properly installed or broken. I can see in your screenshot that the menu items are present in IE, but do they actually work? Could you try reinstalling FlashGet?
2. You created a custom FlashGet entry. That's why FlashGet starts but does nothing. Please delete it, because we must resolve problem #1 and a custom download manager entry won't work properly with FlashGet anyway.

I have deleted the custom entry. Regretfully, I have to go out now. I will reinstall Flashget this evening when I return and then update this thread.
I must admit that after seeing this line in the log "Running C:\Users\QT-Pro\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\il9cop4j.default\FlashGot.exe -o K:\flashgot.il9cop4j.default\FlashGot.exe.test -- blocking", I thought the problem may be firewall related so I added both the FlashGot.exe apps to the trusted applications list in my Comodo firewall.

I have reinstalled Flashget but since removing the Flashget entry I added in Flashgot it now defaults to 'Built-in Browser' so I'm still no closer to Flashgot sending downloads directly into Flashget.
What do I need to do now please Giorgio?

It may be either. If yours is a personal firewall with process monitoring capabilities (e.g. Comodo or Zone Alarm), you may need to exempt Firefox, FlashGot, FlashGet or all the three from some restriction you inadvertently put on them.
The most likely culprit is FlashGet itself, though, since it is the thing that both IE and FlashGot have in common.
