FlashGot stopped working on last update
FlashGot stopped working on last update
This past update, flashgot stopped working on my Firefox v 3.5.7 for rapidshare downloads. I uninstalled flashgot and re-installed but to no avail.
The download location window comes up but then the files don't start downloading. Is this a known bug? I'm using the built-in download function of firefox which has been working brilliantly till last update. I made sure it wasn't my rapidshare account but its all fine -- I have direct download all set up and everything.

Re: FlashGot stopped working on last update
It's working fine for me.
Could you check if any red error message appears in Tools|Error Console when you start a download?

Re: FlashGot stopped working on last update
Im having the same issue.
Happened after last update of Flashgot as far as i can tell. Im using firefox 3.5.7 aswell.
Using Free Download Manager to download.
This occurs when i use ctrl+f2 to grab the url.
Its behaving like the link is wrong, download waits for a couple of seconds then the download is "finished" witha 6k file as result.
If i paste the url in the a new browserwindow the download works ok, or click on the link directly.
This has been working like a charm before.

Re: FlashGot stopped working on last update
Same here.
I am a rapidshare.com premium member. Normally, flashgot should transfer my RS cookie to getright, and then download should just work.
Now, getright instead gets a 33k html error page. Rapidshare doesn't recognise me.
Download by browser works just fine. I tried with bost latest stable and devel release.
Browser is Mozilla 3.0.17
You guys broke rapidshare support. Thats not funmny.

Re: FlashGot stopped working on last update
I'm absolutely sure latest update couldn't break anything rapidshare-related, and as a matter of fact rapidshare links are working just fine for me with any download manager supporting cookies, like GetRight, Free Download Manager, Orbit or the built-in.
I'm more inclined in believing there's a problem with your local configuration, such as authentication cookies or "direct links" Premium option.
If you don't believe me, just install a previous version from http://flashgot.net/feed and check by yourself (please let me know should you find I'm wrong, thanks).

Re: FlashGot stopped working on last update
After uninstall, reinstalling 4 or 5 times a couple weeks ago, my flashgot was not working with the update 1.2.1.10 .
Now, I just installed the newest version, FlashGot 1.2.1.13 and it works great. Was there anything you changed between these two? Same specs as before on my computer, just a different flashgot version.
Thanks again!

Re: FlashGot stopped working on last update
My flashgot quit working several weeks ago, and I've never been able to make it work again. I got the current ver. today (FlashGot 1.2.1.17) and tried again. It loads up the download window, but the downloads never start. I found several others are still experiencing this issue from reading other posts in this forum.
Obviously, something is different between old versions of flashgot and the newer versions. Something is either changed or missing. I uninstalled it. If it ever gets fixed I might attempt to use it again. sad.

I can't see those posts, could you point me at them?mb wrote:It loads up the download window, but the downloads never start. I found several others are still experiencing this issue from reading other posts in this forum.
This very thread was about a Rapidshare-specific issue, and latest post before yours said it was resolved one month ago...
Obviously, I wouldn't release a new version otherwisemb wrote:Obviously, something is different between old versions of flashgot and the newer versions.

You could start telling us which download manager you're using, and by showing us your NoScript Options|Advanced|Show Log output.mb wrote:If it ever gets fixed I might attempt to use it again.

Free download manager (FDM) cannot download YouTube's video-content (flv/mp4) using the link transferred/tracked by FlashGot 1.2.1.17. [FDM worked well for YouTube with FlashGot previously]
fix it ASAP please!

It seems to be working fine for me (FG 1.2.1.17 + FDM 3.0 b844) on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ95z6ywcBY - downloaded a 62.4 MB working FLV movie.

Re: FlashGot stopped working on last update
All those 4 movies worked for me.
Are you using FlashGot Media to download them (after the movie start) or some other mean?
Please notice that FlashGot Media (the flashing icon on the status bar) is the only reliable method.
