Disable just certain things (like flash) on allowed sites?

Post by warrenn »

Hi. I was wondering if it's possible to still allow a website to run javascript but disable other components on the page? For example, I want yahoo.com to be able to run javascript, but I don't want it to run it's flash scripts. Right now I permit all scripts on yahoo.com which means javascript and flash. However, I don't want to totally disable flash. Some websites I do want to keep flash (like youtube).

I believe all you can do is to 'Apply these restrictions <i.e. Flash> to whitelisted sites too'.
Which would mean you would have to click a placeholder on Youtube.

Otherwise, Adblock Plus will likely block ads (i.e. the Flash) on Yahoo without blocking Flash on Youtube.
