Open sites by middle-click on the menu item

Most of the time, I checkout the website of a domain-name to find out its intention, before allowing it to run scripts, etc. It would be very helpful if I can open it just with a middle-click on the menu item, as there's no action defined on this event at all.

Thanks,

Thanks for your suggestion, and actually I had already toyed a bit with this idea.
Unfortunately it's more complicated than it seems, since Firefox "hijacks" low-level events (such as clicks) on menus.
However I've got something like that in my TODO list.

Great to hear that you have this "in the works". This is actually the exact suggestion I was going to give as well. Many times I've run into issues where a site's functionality is enhanced by its relationship with external sources, yet I'm not familiar with the related sites. I've always had to type it in to see if the referenced additional site is worth allowing.

Although the middle-click suggestion may be a good idea but difficult in practice, a possible simpler solution could be to simply add a menu space for a visit link.

For example:

Image Temporarily allow google.com
Image Visit google.com
