Compatibility issues w/ FX 3.5.6

Post by arthur_felipe »

Gentleman, my NS has stopped working with version 3.5.6 of FX.
I've already tried downloading the latest version (1.9.9.27) from http://noscript.net/getit#devel, but got no success - FX says it's not compatible, and nothing works. I just realized it, since I did not find NS icon on my status bar...

Any help?

Try downloading NoScript 1.9.9.28 from http://noscript.net/getit#devel.
Click on unofficial development build.

(I'm thinking it is more a general Profile corruption.)

I'll give it a show soon, and post what happened.
Thanks for the tips, for now. =)

Hi

I am also having a problem with 3.5.6 as well.

I am running windows xp service pack 3. I have done everything above but I still have problems. It seems as though I am alone with this so any helps would be appreciated.

Which problems, exactly?

Hi Giorgio

Thanks for the quick reply.

Fortunately, I have solved the problem. I clicked on reset in the NoScript Options area and it fixed things.

Thanks again

P.S. I must add, that changes came about after I installed Firefox 3.5.6. I don't recall fiddling around with the settings personally - the new update must have done something to NoScript... or this may be my limited knowledge on the matter.

Best Regards

Yep, similar issues here - after years of trouble-free usage. I hadn't realised it was since the 3.5.6 update but it probably is. No scripts or embedded videos are loading all of sudden. (Or perhaps it's just some) - for example radio streams on the BBC website, animations on shopping sites, etc. I'll try the reset option as suggested.

Merry XMas, everyone!
Gentleman, I've managed to solve my problem with the solution above - closing FX, renaming the three files from Profiles folder, starting it and installing NS again.
The files were:

extensions.cache
extensions.ini
extensions.rdf

Just place a ".old" name on their end, and everything should be fine again.
Thanks, guys!
