When a webpage is opened and the "Scripts Partially Allowed..." Options button is pressed:

1. For new items the option to Allow (address) or Temporarily Allow (address) is shown. At that point, I usually open another browser window and google for the sites that are not known to me. Would it be possible to add an option to google (or search using default search engine) that address, or open that address in another window (possibly not safe) , or to indicate whether that address is used for advertising or tracking purposes (via a blacklist)?

2. For existing items, Forbid (address) is shown. Would it be possible to tint, or otherwise mark the addresses that were Temporarily Allowed vice Allowed?

Thanks very much for this product. It makes Firefox even more valuable.

Temporarily Allowed sites are in italics already, e.g. Forbid example.com.

As for request #1, it is somewhat similar to http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopi ... =10&t=3198, except that you are asking to have the site automatically placed in a search engine rather than merely copied to the clipboard, as that user asked.

I think you might find my reply there worthy of consideration, re: triaging "need" before even worrying about "trust".

The WOT add-on for Firefox tries to warn you of risky sites before you go to one, but I would recommend just using their search box to see the site's rating first. The copy-to-clipboard idea facilitates that. Extending it to automatically place the script's address into your desired search tool is an interesting idea. But please keep in mind that if you don't *need* to allow that particular script for the function you want, there's no reason to allow or even research it. This cuts the number of decisions tremendously.
