Multiple restarting

After clicking to install NS updates, I have to restart my computer 2-3 times before my browser will open. This restarting requirement happens every time. Why? Is there something I can do to have the browser open properly? Running WinXp SP3, Fx 3.5.5, cable. Thx for your assistance.

I don't have any problem like that... installing NoScript updates is as simple as updating any other addon: download the update(s), restart Firefox, updates are applied.

Can you provide us with some more detail?

(btw, I'm running Windows XP SP3, with Firefox 3.5.5 and dialup, although my Windows XP Professional with Firefox 3.5.5 and Wi-Fi works just fine too)
