if i watch videos from any youtube user, and decide i want to flashgot them, the videos are saved with the wrong name -- they are saved with the name of the user, and not the name of the video eg : videos from the top youtube channel ( http://www.youtube.com/user/communitychannel ) get saved as communitychannel_s_Channel_videoplayback(1).flv , communitychannel_s_Channel_videoplayback(2).flv , ... rather than the name of the actual videos. Links to actual videos (eg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGEYFE7e_R8 ) get saved as "questions__tennis_videoplayback.flv".

Is it possible to play a sequence of videos them have them saved with the correct names?
Is this a bug or a feature request?

going the other way through a playlist, playall (eg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwzxVdA2 ... playnext=1 ) doesn't work either, with the old videos droping out of the save list, so you can't play the playlsit hen save them all at the end

Unfortunately nothing can be done about it: since the save list is held by the current document object, as soon as the page changes (as it happens when you go through the list) the previous items are lost.
Otherwise if you browse many pages in the same tab you'd end with an huge list of unrelated downloadables.

In that case, may i place a feature request:

Cache observed videos (default off, unable to change default) -- when on flashgot does not clear the list of observed videos on page reload

Wow thanks for that. I wasn't even going to ask because I didn't think a minor issue would/could addressed.

Are peoples' flvs being downloaded with an extension? Mine are just "foo_videoplayback" which I then batch rename with "ren * *.flv" to add the .flv extension to multiple files in the folder I store flvs in...

thankyou very much for not only responding to the request, but quickly adding this feature -- good quality customer relations gives me another reason to continue recommendind this addon to anyone who asks
