[Resolved] Flashgot fails to launch Jdownloader
Posted: Thu Nov 05, 2009 6:47 am
I am running 10.6 Snow Leopard just grabbed the newest version of both Flashgot and Jdownloader and for whatever reason, Flashgot can not start Jdownloader. The flashgot runs perfectly fine when it Jdownloader is already open but it completely hangs when Jdownloader is closed.
The error log is as follows:
It's not an issue with firewalls because I don't have any type of firewall on my system. If I were to copy and paste "/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/bin/java -Xmx512m -jar /Applications/jDownloader.app/Contents/Resources/Java/JDownloader.jar -- async" into the terminal, it launches Jdownloader instantly ~ 5 seconds. I've even changed the about:config in FF from 8 to 12 to give it extra time to load but it doesn't look like Flashgot is loading Jdownloader.
I've read a couple people having troubles and having to manually open Jdownloader every time they download something in Ubuntu Linux. As OSX 10.6 is unix based, I suspect it's the same issue those people were experiencing. Does anyone know any solutions to this problem or has anyone run into this problem for that matter
EDIT: a couple useless SS to show that the solution isn't obvious.

once again, that firewall thing is the generic message that it gives when it fails to launch :/
