In the meanwhile, you could just use different OS/browser profiles for you and your children, which is saner for many other reasons.

One possibility:
- Install Firefox to a location where only admins can write to.
- Install NoScript globally (to the Fx folder) via "-install-global-extension".
- Give your son a restricted user account.
- Hope that he does not find out how to reset the admin password.
Note that updating has to be done by invoking "-install-global-extension" again, or extracting it manually (if doing latter Fx has to be started as admin for the first time or the version number [and more?] won't be updated accordingly).
/edit: Ahaha, an intelligent spammer. How amusing.

Alan, since the user did not do as you requested within a week of your request, I've moved the OP to spam.
Since it contains a question that might be of some use, I've reprinted the actual question under my own name, so that the answers in the thread make sense to other readers. -- Tom.
