Combining two NS *bookmarks*?

Ok I did the sync feature for FF 3.+ via Xmarks for my Windows laptop and Mac Pro.

Thing is, I put the [NoScript] folder in my "Computer" folder of bookmarks (moving it from the bottom of the list).

When I went back a little later, there was another [NoScript] folder at the bottom (so now I have two).

Both my NS lists (from each computer respectively) had a fair number of entries in them so I don't want to lose either one, is there a way to combine them at this point? (Or is this not even an accurate interpretation of what happened?)

Thanks in advance.

During bookmark-based synchronization NoScript settings are overwritten with the most recent version of the ones saved on the Weave/X-Marks server (no merge occurs).
The only way to merge two whitelist is using the manual NoScript Options|Whitelist|Export/Import feature.

So…it sounds like there is no way to do this automatically then? (keep up-to-date merged whitelists?)

You're right, if you want to merge permissions you've got to move the whitelist export file manually (or send it by email, or paste on pastebin...)
However it should be quite an infrequent need, IMHO, unless you use those profiles at the same time.
Otherwise, both Weave and Foxmarks automatically synchronize stuff as soon as it changes or on browser startup/shutdown, so when you move from a location to another your latest changes should always been preserved.
Am I missing anything?

Yes you're right I'm kind of using them both right now but that's an exception because I'm trying to set up some various things on the (Windows) laptop…generally I use the desktop, and then the laptop when I travel, so that's a kind of virtual updated synchronization that actually should be good enough. Thanks for your quick response.
