I am running FlashGot 1.2.0.6 with SeaMonkey 2.0. Flashgot is not recognizing JDownloader. Also happening in my Firefox 3.5.3 install.

Ideas?

  1. Is JDownloader already running when you launch Firefox to let FlashGot detect it at least once?
  2. Is JDownloader allowed to bind a local server on port 9666 (i.e. by Windows' and/or other personal firewalls)
  3. Could you show me your FlashGot Options|Advanced|Show log?

# Is JDownloader already running when you launch Firefox to let FlashGot detect it at least once?
Yes

# Is JDownloader allowed to bind a local server on port 9666 (i.e. by Windows' and/or other personal firewalls)
I have no idea what that means

# Could you show me your FlashGot Options|Advanced|Show log?

Please disregard question #1 & #2, made obsolete by your log which shows that JDownloader is actually running, responding at port 9666 and detected by FlashGot.
So, as far as I can tell, the problem is it not being shown (enabled) in the right-click menu, in FlashGot Options or both, correct?
How do your flashgot.dmsopts.jdonloader.* about:config preferences look like?

I think I got it. As JDownloader is not a traditional .exe, I have the install folder in C:\Users\Administrator. I added C:\Users\Administrator\JDownloader 0.8.9 to the about:config entry flashgot.dmsopts.JDownloader.path. and JDownloader is n o longer grayed out. Seems to be working now, just tested a download.

Glad you worked around it, but it's still strange.
On startup FlashGot queries JDownloader for that path (as you can see in the log) and sets the preference accordingly by itself.
The fact it was empty is the weird thing there, worth investigating.

I had my Jdwonloader on desktop that means that path was c:\Documents and Settings\....

and had the same problem. After reading this thread i wondered that maybe the problem is with blanks in path, so I've coppied Jdwonloader to E:\Jdownloader\ after that Flashgot found Jdownloader without a problem.
