What is the deal with the mozilla addon page having an older version of Noscript? Wish they would get on the ball! Great product, thanks.

AMO hasn't finished reviewing the newer version yet. That's all. In the meantime AMO make it available here.

(Just to note, that page is extremely slow & resource intensive to open in Gecko 1.8.1. <Not a NoScript issue.>)

You're welcome.

Edit:

Yes. You're absolutely right. It took minutes at 100% CPU to load in Fx 2.0.0.20 on my 600 MHz PC. IE8 took a long time, but at least less than a minute. Opera and Fx 3.5.3 much better, with Firefox taking only 22 seconds. It's much quicker to check http://noscript.net/getit#devel for the latest version than the AMO page I referenced. I use both of the NoScript RSS update feeds to get timely, asynchronous notifications for all updates: http://noscript.net/feed?c=200&t=b and http://noscript.net/feed.
