[Fixed] 12.5.902 high CPU usage and memory consumption

Post by barbaz »

NoScript 12.5.902
Firefox 137.0.2
new profile

I have the Rust documentation locally installed. When viewing this local copy of the Rust documentation, Firefox's file:// content process continuously uses a lot of CPU and continuously consumes more and more RAM. The Firefox tab indefinitely shows the back-and-forth "still loading" dot.

In my main profile, Browser Console is spammed with warnings from NoScript (going way too fast to copy-paste, but one repeating message starts "Blocking path traversal" and another repeating message starts "Suppressing onerror event"). These messages do not appear in the clean profile.

x Fixed infinite x-load blocking loops (thanks barbaz for
reporting)
x Always honor the "Collapse blocked objects" option

Much better, now it even uses less CPU than with the previous working NoScript version. Thanks for the fast fix! Image
