YouTube videos stop after 60 seconds

Recently YouTube videos stop at exactly 60 seconds after the starting point (you can use the &t parameter to specify a different (nonzero) starting point, e.g., &t120s, in which case the video stops at the 180 second mark).

Workarounds:

Turning off NoScript for the tab (but then I have to watch ads -- perhaps this is being done intentionally by YouTube).

Changing firefox setting: about:config > media.mediasource.enabled = false (but this limits video quality to 360p)

Using Microsoft Edge

Firefox: 128.5.2esr (64-bit)
NoScript: 12.1.0.901

Generally this means solution is a matter of finding which specific additional permission(s) the site requires for the wanted functionality.

NoScript is a security tool, not an adblocker. If you are looking to block ads, you can use an ad blocking extension alongside NoScript.

I have the same issue with YouTube. My Version is 12.1.1. I have only NoScript activated. The video is blocked because strict-origin-when-cross-origin. You need to grant trust permission on google, gstatic and googlevideo
