Chrome version: Version 131.0.6778.70 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Noscript version: 12.0.0
Websites such as Youtube, Twitch, megacloud, etc. with a video player element display a noscript overlay for a blocked element <MEDIA>@HTTPS element.
I've clicked the overlay and allowed the associated websites but the overlay persists. I've tried disabling restrictions for the tab but the overlay will still be displayed. Clicking the X in the corner of the overlay to close it will allow me to begin playing the media however only the audio will play while the video will be black (except on youtube where video playback switches to regular HTTP rather than HTTPS).
Even when everything on a page has been set to trusted noscript still indicates 1 item has been blocked but no additional sites appear in the list.
Only disabling the extension entirely, or removing it from the browser, resolves the issue.
Note:
-Problem just started happening in the middle of a session. I watched a video, it ended, I went to watch another video and the problem started occurring.
-Problem persists even when all other chrome extensions are disabled.
-Problem persists after browser restart.
-Problem persists after reboot.
-On X the videos in tweets don't get blocked and play without issue.
-All examples I've seen of <MEDIA> being effected are HTTPS sources
