Hello,I am new here. I use Google Chrome and I was having trouble viewing a website and I went to my Extensions to determine which one was the culprit. As soon as I opened the Extension page, there was an alert stating that some of the extensions I use will no longer be supported soon. It didn't say when that would be, but Noscript was among those listed.
I looked for an alternative, but the ones suggested by Google Chrome weren't what I was looking for. Does anyone here know of a good alternative extension that does the same thing as Noscript does or do the developers plan to release a version that will work with Chrome? I would transfer to another browser but I've been using Google Chrome for many years and don't want to do this.

unfortunately there no reliable alternatives to Noscript for Chrome these days.
I use to use something like ScriptSafe several years ago on Chrome but that one is outdated & no longer reliable on modern Chrome versions.
we'll just have to wait and see if Giorgio can produce a Manifest V3 version of Noscript that could possibly work on recent versions of Google Chrome.

Ah, such a pity. Noscript is indeed a very useful tool. Hopefully a newer version that will work with Chrome can be developed. In the meantime, I'll see if I can find an acceptable alternative as I did find other script blockers on Chrome's web extension store - just not as powerful.4td8s wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 5:16 pm unfortunately there no reliable alternatives to Noscript for Chrome these days.

Sounds like, & assuming it works, & until Chrome nixes it, it should apply to any extension, so NoScript included.Does this concern NS too?
