I mainly use NoScript to forbid all third-party scripts.
Currently, almost all sites I visit won't work before JS should be allowed at least for the main site. For this use case, NoScript is quite arduous.

NoScript Options > General, check "Temporarily set top-level sites to TRUSTED"
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
