Anyone else having problems with NoScript in FireFox 119.0.1? Previously working flawlessly NS now just has the "S" with a red "?" and fails to respond.
Removal and re-install is ineffective.

Does NoScript work normally with all other extensions disabled?
Do you have unusual value of about:config preferences extensions.webextensions.restrictedDomains and/or extensions.quarantinedDomains.list?

If no to both:

Does NoScript Options page work? (Tools > Add-ons and Themes > NoScript > click the triple dot > Preferences)
Can you use NoScript Options > Export (to backup your settings), then try NoScript Options > Reset

Hi barbaz, thanks for the reply

NS does not work in safe mode with extensions disabled. NS is not in either Restricted or Quarantined lists.
NS options partially works but import/export/reset do not respond. I don't want to lose settings,
especially the per-site settings.

Any other way to do a non-destructive reset? I'm not sure where the NS settings files are located, either.

You could completely quit Firefox and back up all the storage-sync files in your Firefox profile - viewtopic.php?p=103393#p103393

Uninstalling and reinstalling NoScript would have erased the other NoScript settings storage location mentioned in that post.

If resetting NoScript works, you should be able to read your storage-sync-v2.sqlite backup using DB Browser for SQLite provided that you keep your backups of the .sqlite-shm & .sqlite-wal in the same directory as the backup of storage-sync-v2.sqlite. DB Browser for SQLite will read from all 3 files when you open storage-sync-v2.sqlite, but note that when you close DB Browser for SQLite, it will write the contents of the .sqlite-shm and .sqlite-wal files into storage-sync-v2.sqlite proper (so don't be alarmed if your .sqlite-shm and .sqlite-wal files disappear when you close DB Browser for SQLite, this is normal and how it's supposed to be).
