[FIXED] NoScript breaking Chromium Browsers

Post by RDS »

As of very recently today, NoScript appears to break most websites in Chromium browsers, even if full permissions are given to the site. When the extension is turned off, things go back to working.

After today's (yesterdays?) update noscript no longer works on Chrome, any instance of it being turned on makes chrome completely unusual.

Confirming the same issue on my end. Not even allowing all restrictions globally works, you have to completely disable Noscript to have many webpages actually work.

Yes, I can confirm something is wrong with 11.2.16. It broke Brave browser as soon as it updated behind the scenes. Loaded up Firefox and it was on 11.2.14 and working fine until about 30 mins later, NoScript updated itself in the background to 11.2.16 and the exact same behavior occurred. At this point I can't use any browser with 11.2.16.

Same: NoScript 11.2.16 won't let me load Facebook despite all known associated sites set to TRUSTED using Edge Chromium 97.0.1072.76
FB working only when NS is fully disabled.
Everything worked normally yesterday.

Can verify that the update, 11.2.16, broke the Brave browser.
Almost no sites are accessible until the extension is completely disabled.

Exact same issue here, many sites are broken even when set to trusted. Only fixed by disabling NoScript. Running NoScript 11.2.16 on Chrome 98.0.4758.81.

Adding one more voice to the chorus: Brave browser not working. "Disable all restrictions globally" does nothing, the extension has to be turned off before most sites will work.

Came here to confirm, started having issues about 00:45 on 03 Feb 2022 after finishing a small game of mini motorways and wanted to watch a youtube video I had loaded up prior to whatever went wrong.

Windows 10 desktop, chrome browser, only extension I use is NoScript.

Just ran into this after firing up my PC for the first time in 12+ hours.
Chrome + NoScript is completely broken. Disabling it cleared up whatever is going on instantly.

So what I want to know is can someone do an emergency roll back of the update. This is clearly wide spread and only "quiet" because many of the users are asleep.
