Unable to Change Custom Settings to Default

Every month I check my NoScript settings. Done that for years.

This morning I saw, for the first time, that some of my settings were marked as "Custom" and had a long URL at the end of their lines. I've never marked anything as "Custom" so I tried to change those settings to "Default". When I do so, the settings for those sites are then changed to "Trusted*". Note the asterisk after the "Trusted". What does the asterisk mean?

How can I change the settings of those sites back to "Default"?

How can my settings be changed to something other than "Default" by external means? I'd like to stop that if I could.

Also, I just realized that I have no sites that are listed as "Default". They are all either "Trusted" or "Custom". I'm sure it was not this way when I checked last month.

What gives?

Screenshot please?
If you click the "Custom" setting for one of these entries, what's checked?

That is how it should be. "Default" means no permission is explicitly set for the site. Setting a site to Default is in fact how to remove it from Per-site Permissions.

Oops! No can do. I already changed the "Custom" settings to "Default".

That explains it. Thank you for your help. I'll check my Per-Site Permissions in a week and if I find any that have been marked "Custom" I'll click that setting and provide you with a screen shot.

If you happen to press the custom button then the option stays as custon wether you do changes or not.
But as far as I've understood this is the only way to find out what the site wants to be allowed or is there any?
