cannot hide button

I used to be able to hide a button by dragging it to the aria labeled as "Drag here to hide". Since the last version or so, such hidden button reappeared and I cannot move it there again. Any idea how to fix this?

Confirmed: the "graveyard" feature seems to be victim of a regression caused by one the many recent changes toward better accessibility, especially by keyboard navigation.

It seems to be an instance of
this Firefox issue.
As a quick work-around, you can add the Alt key to the left mouse button press initiating the drag.

11.0.31rc1 fixed this issue for me, thanks!
On Linux with 11.0.31rc1, when dragging the icons, I'm also dragging a large opaque grey box that's wider than my screen, and its height is comparable to the entire NoScript popup with a short domain list. It would be nice if that grey box were about the same size as the button being dragged. Is it possible?

I cannot see anything like that (Ubuntu 18.0.4, any version of Firefox >= 68).
Have you got a screenshot? Any special graphic configuration?

I have Firefox 77, Xubuntu 18.04 with Openbox window manager replacing xfwm4. I disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
It would be hard to show this grey box in a single screenshot. If you still can't reproduce it with the above information, I could try to take a screencast if that would be helpful?
