Non-Mozilla images won't load
Non-Mozilla images won't load
The only images that will load in Firefox while NoScript is enabled are the ones at addons.mozilla.org. Every image on any other site is replaced with it's hover message. I've gone through the Standard Diagnostic steps and reset my userpreferences on Firefox, disabled every addon and plugin, and reset my NS settings and whitelist. But all was to no avail. I actually had to use Chrome to post this because Fx wouldn't load the Captcha image. Can anyone help with this very annoying problem?

Re: Non-Mozilla images won't load
In addition, I took a fresh install of Portable Firefox and installed NoScript with the same results.

That's really strange.
Are you behind a proxy or a personal firewall?
Did you say you disabled NoScript and the problem went away?
And that it doesn't go away if you use NoScript Options|Reset?
Are you sure you're not forcing HTTPS everywhere?

Re: Non-Mozilla images won't load
I am not behind a proxy or firewall.
Yes, if I disable NoScript, all images load fine.
I did indeed already use NoScript Options | Reset
And every site decides for itself whether to be HTTP or HTTPS
But I did just find out what the problem was. ABE was keeping the images from appearing! Once I disabled ABE, the images all came back. Bug in there?
The weird thing though, I don't know if it matters, is that after a little browsing, I found that it wasn't every image. Few were allowed to load on the page and others weren't. It seemed that the ones that would load are from another domain than the page.

Did you by any chance recently installed RequestPolicy?

Can you find any line starting with [ABE] in Tools|Error Console?Sakura wrote: Once I disabled ABE, the images all came back. Bug in there?

Re: Non-Mozilla images won't load
Not right now, I just checked and Tools | Error Console was free of ABE errors. I just turned it back on to try to duplicate the error and everything is working perfectly. For some reason, ABE was causing images to crash and disabling and re-enabling it worked.
If it does help, when I tried to Right-click | View Image on any of the images that were turned to text, it would state something along the lines of ABE wouldn't let me do that.
EDIT: I received a few on Youtube.

Have you got a local cache/proxy on 10.166.78.199?Sakura wrote: EDIT: I received a few on Youtube.Code: Select all

I don't think so. I haven't set up anything of the sort and when this all had started, I deleted my cache...
