Permanent = Temporary?

Post by Rebel »

My NoScript seems to have chronic amnesia, and it's really ticking me off. :evil:

Frequently when I go to websites that I've previously unblocked permanently, I'll find the site is blocked again. So I permanently unblock it and it'll be good for an indeterminate amount of time, then I'll find it blocked again. It's the top level that I'm unblocking.

This happened about an hour ago ago, on Ebay, and just now on a local newspaper's site that I use nearly every day.

I expect to find sites blocked again when I've only allowed them temporarily, but it's really annoying having to repeatedly "permanently" unblock them.

Anyone else having this problem, or just me?

The most likely cause is something (another extension? a security software?) preventing Firefox from saving preferences (like NoScript's permanent whitelist) persistently on your hard disk.
Could you try Standard Diagnostic and check if your problem persists?
