NoScript Blocking Scripts in FF Safe Mode?

Post by auctoris »

I have a domain marked as untrusted with NoScript. Of course, NoScript dutifully blocks all scripts from that domain. But, if I relaunch Firefox in Safe Mode (i.e. all extensions disabled), scripts from that domain are still blocked--with NoScript disabled!

In Safe Mode I do have Firefox's javascript prefs set to allow all javascripts so it's not a case of Firefox blocking all scripts.

If I remove the domain from NoScript's untrusted list, scripts from that domain are properly loaded with Firefox in both normal mode and Safe Mode. If I mark the domain as untrusted again, scripts from that domain are blocked with Firefox in both normal mode and Safe Mode (with NoScript disabled).

What's going on? How is this possible? How can NoScript block a particular domain when Firefox did not even load NoScript at launch?

Thank you

As you said, NoScript can not block anything in safe mode.
You're probably noticing something else.
Can you reproduce on a clean profile with just NoScript installed?

Sorry for the false alarm. I tested it for over an hour last night and only got the behavior I previously described. I just tested it for an hour this morning and it's working fine. I have no idea what was going on.

Thank you
