are alan baxter and grumpy old lady the same person?
yes, their user strings may be slightly different, but that can be manipulated.
the tone and grammer of their posts are harder to manipulate long term.
i don't like the meanness of either of them. . .any thoughts?

You're cracking me up. Thank you for injecting some humor into my otherwise serious day. To paraphrase Richard Nixon, let me say just one thing: "I am not a sock".

Heh.
I see you are correct, but did you have some initial clue that it was @notspamer who was doing the asking?
I am neither Alan nor GOL.
Though some may consider me grumpy & old.

Why does it matter? If someone wants to start a new username for whatever reason, its their choice right? If the same person wants two usernames, although a simple ip check would resolve identity, who cares? I personally like to make all my comments as myself, that way there is never a confusion on who said it, but to each their own, right? Can we move this to MetaForum at least?

Yes.
I don't think anonymous guest can post in the Metaforum. The rest of us can let this topic slip away into distant memory if we don't bump it.
