Can Facebook Scripts Be Permanantly Blacklisted?

Hi, this is my first post. I've been using NS for years.

I am wondering if it is possible to totally Blacklist all Facebook scripts (& possibly Google Analytics) so if I select "temporarily allow entire page" it would still block the blacklisted scripts.

If so, I would greatly appreciate detailed instructions.

Thanks for a great program!

Unfortunately that's not currently possible (yet) in Quantum, and I tend to believe it's been an overlook on my part.
In NoScript Classic, sites explicitly marked as Untrusted are unaffected by "Temporarily allow all on this page". I think it should be the same for sites set as UNTRUSTED, so I'm likely to fix that in next release.

They're using NoScript Classic.

Method 1

NoScript menu > Untrusted > Mark facebook.net as Untrusted

repeat for all facebook domains

Method 2

1) create a file 'facebook-blacklist.txt' and fill it with facebook domains following this pattern -

Code: Select all

[UNTRUSTED]
facebook.com
facebook.net
fbcdn.net
http://facebook.com
http://facebook.net
http://fbcdn.net
https://facebook.com
https://facebook.net
https://fbcdn.net
"[UNTRUSTED]" must be the first line of this file. The http and https entries are required for 2nd-level domains, they are not needed for 3rd-or-greater-level domains.

2) NoScript Options > Whitelist > Import (*not* the Import on the very bottom of NS Options)

Thanks for both answers! I'm using both versions depending on the pc in question.

Re method #1, I apologize, but I'm not seeing anywhere under the untrusted tab to enter domains, script names, etc.

You would have to browse to a site that includes facebook scripts.
