Hello,
first of all, thx for FlashGot, its a little add-on but very effective
I have downloaded a video with captions from Youtube which I had turned on, but in the end the subtitles didn't show up on the finished flv-file. Help?
Thx in advance

I couldnt find the original one, but here is a random example of a vid with optional captions/subs and again, FlashGot gets the flv-vid but the subtitles are missing. I use the VLC-Player to play vids and they dont show up there, too.
OK, my knowledge of subtitles has just expired .
Are the subtitles in the video itself, or is it just overlayed during the playback?
Does it require a separate .SRT file (which contains the subtitles?)?
Those subtitles are downloaded separately by the YT player on demand.
Therefore there's no way for FlashGot to detect them until you demand them, and even then so far FlashGot doesn't "know" about them (maybe a future version will).
Ok, too bad. Well, if nothing else works, I'll copy each sub into a .srt file.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for a future version of FlashGot with a feature which will be able to handle this.
Still thx
