The new No Script is a chore and difficult to use. I much prefer the old No Script (before version 57).
1. Could you please consider bringing back to old look and feel?
The new one has the following issues.
2. It requires several clicks to trust a site permanently. I click trusted, then the little clock that appears. I don't need that. It is just extra annoyance.
3. Too many websites do not load properly, half the time now I have to use IE (the shame!), because Firefox cannot open websites, which brings me to the next point:
4. The "temporarily allow all this page" does not work every time. I don't know why, but even google news do not link now. Half the time I get the message "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirect...", after clicking "allow" I get Google 404, that's an error with the broken robot. Its infuriating, and makes Firefox useless.
5. Clicking the "default" bring too many confusing options. Maybe make two different versions of No Script. The old one was a perfect balance of power and simplicity. This one is a PITA and super annoying, half of the time worthless that overall decreases the safety of those navigating, since given the extra complexity, you just give up and use a different browser.

It is a shame that the best extension ever created for a browser was basically in this supposed "upgrade". Take it from me, you base of users will go down, because now it is confusing and difficult to use and of little value. It is a shame, I was your biggest fan. I hope you guys can see you way to fix it and make it usable again.

Unfortunately the old UI is not technically possible in WebExtensions.

Could we at least simplify the current feel so that the options match the old options. Why are the options so difficult to understand? Why not simply trust, not trust, temporarily accept? If I click custom or default, I can understand what I should select. It is overload of information. If I click the "trusted" icon, once I close Firefox the selection is lost. That wasn't the case before. Most of the time the "temporarily allow all this page" fails. I don't even know why.
The meaning of the icons are not evident either. Why is there a "green lock" that when I click becomes "red"? And why only some lines have it. Why not simply put that lock for ALL the lines, ALL the time. So that I can easily see which are allowed and which are not. That would have been a better implementation.

Better, but I would still remove the padlocks (green/red). They are confusing. If Green means a trusted site (I am guessing by No Script recommendation), why can I click on it and make it red? If it is MY call on what I want to trust, what does grey means? The gray padlocks is confusing. There should be only 2 types positions red and green. Scripts are either ALLOWED or NOT ALLOWED. And I agree with that page you linked, all scripts should start NOT allowed by default (i.e. red padlock). And there should be one other possibility Green. It is a binary choice. Gray brings uncertainty. Thanks a lot for the link, it clarify some of the confusing behavior of No Script.

Green/red lock has nothing to do with Allowed or not. It has to do with whether the permission applies only over HTTPS.

Thanks a lot. This is very useful. I wish that link with the tutorial is LITERALLY the first thing that appears when clicking the No Script icon in the browser. The main issue is that it is counter-intuitive. Thanks a lot for explaining things to me. It makes me hopeful that this will be fixed in a future version soon. It would be a disaster to see No Script go. I can't seem to navigate without it. It is definitively the best, or rather was. Now we wait. Thanks again.
